March Madness!

March Madness!

Are you enjoying the tournament? Is your bracket still on track?

Nothing is more exciting about March Madness than the upsets — and when you’re upset, what could be better than your favorite comfort food from Andrea’s House of Pizza?

With our March Madness Special you can feed the whole gang. Get a large pizza, a big order of chicken fingers and a garden salad for just $19.95.

You’ll be a Champ in the eyes of your guests if you serve The Best Pizza in Watertown. Get a huge pizza and load it up with your two favorite toppings — meats, veggies, or cheeses.

Our “side order” of chicken fingers comes with eight juicy tenders. Dip them in plain old ketchup, or spice it up with some honey mustard sauce. Your taste buds will thank you!

We top off the special with our crisp garden salad, filled with fresh ingredients and topped with your choice of dressings. It’s a healthy way to balance out the pizza and chicken!

We figure this special should easily feed a group of four people, so huddle up with some friends and place your order at (617) 926-8578. To download the whole menu, click here.

If you want to take it really easy, just come on in to the restaurant and watch all the games with us on our enormous 55″ plasma TV. There’ll be plenty of cheering — and maybe a little trash talk — and of course, the specials are good when you eat in as well.

Whatever you do this weekend, enjoy the games — you know we will!

Yassas,
The Andrea’s Pizza Gang

Website Changes

Thanks to all who have commented on the website, or have made recommendations for changes.  We’re excited about our new look and we hope the website is a tool that improves your overall experience with Andrea’s Pizza.

One of the frequent concerns about the new site was that it seemed slow.  I’m happy to say that we’ve implemented a series of enhancements to the server that should make the site little bit snappier.  Please let us know what your experience is!

As a preview of coming attractions — we’ll soon be adding a Facebook widget to connect our Facebook community with the site, we’ll be adding a Fax order form to make placing your order super-easy, and we’ll be making the Daily Specials a little more dynamic so you know what to expect when you come into the restaurant.

As always, we appreciate your business, and especially your feedback.  What other changes and improvements would you like to see us make to the website?

Greek Pastries

0

At Andrea’s Pizza, we want you to feel at home with our food. We give the same care and attention to our food that we use in our own kitchens. And now, we’re even serving the same Greek Pastries we make at home!

Greek Pastries
Come in and try these delicious treats:

  • Baklava - We layer tissue-thin sheets of phyllo dough with butter, cinammon and walnuts and top it off with a sweet honey-based syrup. This well-known treat is crunchy and juicy — extremely satisfying. Although there’s controversy about the origins of Baklava, we’re pretty sure that Andrea’s makes the best-tasting version around!
  • Kataifi - Our ingredients are similar to Baklava, but the phyllo is spun into crisp threads that we wrap around nuts, cinammon and honey for a super-sweet treat. Just so you know, the largest version ever made was a Guiness Book entry made in Nablus, weighing in at almost 3,000 pounds!
  • Koulourakia - We make these Easter Season cookies with butter, flour, eggs and just a hint of vanilla, and a shiny top from the egg glaze. They’re great with coffee or tea, and make a satisfying snack. The name comes from the diminutive of a ring-shaped loaf or lifebelt — and these can save your life when you have the mid-afternoon munchies!

Many years ago, Stratos and Spyridoula owned “The Mediterranean Pasty Shop” on Halsted Street in Chicago. Their shop was the tastiest in Greektown — Stratos’ galaktoboureko was legendary and he still makes it occasionally today. Stay tuned, and maybe we’ll offer it at Andrea’s Pizza!

Want to know more? Just e-mail us and we’ll share our recipe for koulourakia.
